AIPER Orca 2000 robotic pool cleaner review: specs, Features, pros & cons

AIPER Smart pool cleaner

The AIPER Orca 2000 is the newest robotic pool cleaner from AIPER. Packed with loads of modern features, it does a great job taking the stress out of pool maintenance.

The Orca 2000 is one of AIPER’s first corded pool cleaners, unlike other models that are battery powered like the AIPER Smart Seagull600, or the AIPER Smart1500.

Today we’ll be taking an in-depth look at the specs and features of the popular Orca 2000 so you can see if it’s the right automatic pool cleaner for you.

Who’s the AIPER Orca 2000 best suited for?

The AIPER Smart Orca 2000 is a great choice of automatic pool cleaner for anyone who is struggling to keep up with their pool maintenance. It is best suited for large to midsized pools, of any shape, and surface type.

It’s a good choice for someone who’s pool doesn’t accumulate large amounts of debris, this is due to the fact that it doesn’t have a very large filter basket. If you’re looking for a pool cleaner with a quick cleaning cycle option, or a weekly scheduler then this may be the pool cleaner for you.

AIPER Smart Orca 2000 review

The AIPER Smart Orca is a modern automatic pool cleaner designed for both in-ground, and above-ground pools. It features one of the longest power cords out of any residential pool cleaner being able to clean pools up to an impressive 60ft. This cord is also anti-tangle for added cleaning reliability.

The Orca 2000 has a durable well constructed design, but weighs on the heavier side so removing it from the pool can be tricky for some people

If you’re after a pool cleaner that offers complete pool coverage, then the AIPER Orca 200 might be the cleaner for you. It does a great job cleaning the pools floor, walls, and waterline, and even manages to clean the stairs which many cleaners fail to do.

The AIPER Orca uses two 200W triple powerful drive motors which power its dual PVC rollers. These do a really good job aggressively scrubbing the pools surface removing any stubborn dirt, and debris. This is paired nicely by its dual water inlets which allow it to keep constant suction, resulting in a more efficient clean.

The AIPER Smart Orca uses a filter basket which has 3 different levels of filtration. The first layer is designed to catch large debris like leaves and sticks, the second layer catches smaller particles like bugs, dirt, and the third and final filter catches micro particles like dust and pollen.

Unfortunately the filter basket doesn’t have a very large capacity though, so if your pool is prone to a large amounts of debris then you may be emptying the AIPER Orca quite often.

Cleaning the filters and the cleaner itself can also be quite a hassle. This is due to the fact that you have to remove the filters, then flip the cleaner over and hose it out from the bottom. This can be time consuming compared to cleaning out the filters of a cleaner like the Polaris P825.

To make pool maintenance easier the AIPER Smart Orca 2000 features a remote control panel which gives you access to functions like cleaning speed, a cleaning scheduler which you can set the Orca 2000 to clean every 1, 2, or 3 hours, or every 24, 48, or 72 hours. Through the remote control you can also manually control the cleaner which is handy if you need to do a quick spot clean.

AIPER orca 2000 pool cleaner user reviews

While looking over reviews for the AIPER Orca 2000 it was clear to see there was a large amount of happy users. Here’s what they had to say.

“This robot is a life saver. I can spray off the filters and rinse the interior is less than 10 minutes so it’s ready to go back in the pool for another 3 hours of vacuuming. I’m still amazed that it actually climbs the walls while scrubbing the tile. I do not regret this purchase at all.”

“Best purchase I’ve made in years. Works like a charm. My pool stays spotless thanks to this Robot. It is so easy to manage and clean. More time to relax as it does all the work.

“This is by far the best wall cleaning sweeper for my inground pool. Many like this do a good job on the floor of the pool. But, this just suctions away the scum on the lining walls. It cleans near to the top walls to my expectations.”

Like all products, not every user had a positive experience. Here are a few things they had to say

“I thought this would be an upgrade from our current vacuum… and I think it does pick up a bit more, but it’s so hard to clean!! Leaves me wondering if anyone who designed this has ever used another pool vacuum before?”

“Here is the issues: When i’m pulling it out from the water, a large amount of debris came out every time. Upon inspection, the majority of debris are collected at the bottom of the machine (outside of filter system) and some on the surface of filter bag. The filter cage hold no debris. I believe this is a design issue, a powerful machine with very limited capacity to contain the debris.”

AIPER Smart Orca 200 summary

With everything taken into consideration like price, features, and cleaning ability, I think the AIPER Orca 2000 is a good choice of robotic pool cleaner for pools that aren’t prone to large amounts of debris. This is due to the fact that it doesn’t have a very large filter basket.

I really like how it does a great job cleaning all areas of the pool, including the stairs. And the fact that it has a 60ft anti-tangle cord, making it great for large pools.

I also really like how it’s got multiple cleaning cycle options which allows you to give your pool an express clean if need be, and how the weekly timer function allows you to have your pool continue to be cleaned even if you’re out of town.

The fact that it’s a highly rated product on Amazon with a growing amount of positive reviews goes to show that it is a reliable pool cleaner.

It’s for all these reasons I think the AIPER Orca 2000 is definitely a pool cleaner to consider if you’re on the hunt for a new one.
