At first glance, the AIPER Seagull SE is a stylish looking robotic pool cleaner that’s easy on the eyes compared to many other portable pool vacuums. Unlike previous AIPER models that have the power button on the bottom of the cleaner, the AIPER Smart Seagull SE has had this button relocated to the top of the unit making it more convenient to power on.
The AIPER Smart Seagull SE cordless pool vacuum has increased charge speed and battery life, and takes around 2.5 hours to charge and will give you approximately 90 minutes of run time which I think is pretty impressive really and is plenty of time to clean a small to mid-sized pool. I also like how it can be used in both above-ground and in-ground pools which makes it a versatile cleaner.
When it comes to set up and operation it doesn’t get much easier than this cordless pool vacuum. All you’ve got to do is charge it using the charger provided and a standard power socket, then turn the cleaner on and pop it in the water and watch the little guy get to work. One thing to remember when charging the cleaner after it’s been in the pool is to always make sure the charging port is dry before plugging it in, this will prevent any long term damage.
Once in the pool it might initially seem like the unit is just scrubbing the floor of your pool aimlessly with no sense of direction, but come back in an hour or so and you’ll find it’s been able to clean 95% of the dirt and debris from your pool.

The filter capacity is decent too, and is large enough to accommodate a good amount of debris. If your pool is extra dirty with lots of leaves you might find you’ll need to empty it once or twice during the cleaning cycle to get your desired result.
Removing and cleaning the filter is realatively easy too, all you have to do is unclip the clips around the outside of the cleaner, then hose the filter out with a garden hose. The clips can be a bit tight to unclip but this is to ensure the cleaner is sealed properly so no fine dirt particles escape and end back up in your pool.
To increase the lifespan of the clips it’s best to avoid leaving the AIPER Smart Seagull SE in the sun for to long as this can wear down the plastic parts and make them more susceptible to damage.
A couple of cool features of this battery operated pool vacuum is its chemical dispenser. This allows you to put any kind of one-inch tablet you might need into the cleaner which then evenly disperses it around your pool. It also has a self park feature which allows it to return to the side of the pool when it’s finished cleaning, or when the battery needs charged.
