Today we’ll be checking out the specs, features, pros and cons of the popular Pool Blaster Max battery powered pool vacuum to see if it’s one worth adding to your shopping list, or if it’s a waste of time.

The Pool Blaster Max is a battery powered pool vacuum designed for both in-ground, and above-ground pools. It has a run time of up to 1 hour, and will take up to 4 hours to reach full charge. However when charging the unit for the first time you will need to charge it for 5 hours.
It features a lightweight and easy to assemble design, weighing only 5.5lbs, which makes it easy to hold on to for long periods of time. You can also connect it to a telescopic pole for added length, but this will need to be purchased at an extra cost.
Before submerging the Water Tech Pool Blaster into the water you’ll want to ensure the unit is turned on to prevent any damage. The vacuum does have a reminder sticker on the side of the cleaner though so you don’t forget. It’s also critical that you remember to put the silicone (which is provided) around the O-ring of the charging plug. This will ensure there’s a tight seal so water can’t get in.
The Pool Blaster Max uses a powerful P30 motor, which is also complimented by a decent sized 10.5” vacuum head that does a good job inhaling leaves and sticks without becoming blocked. This vacuum head also has a crevice nozzle which allows it to get into tight corners, and edges.
It also features a reusable multi-layered filter bag for both large, and fine debris. This filter bag has quite a small capacity though so if your pool has lots of debris in it you may be emptying it a few times. The water Tech Pool Blaster Max will also struggle with removing live algae from a pools surface, but will have no problem if the algae is dead.
