Zodiac MX8 key Features

Just like the MX6 the MX8 is also a pool vacuum and is designed for small pools. As you can probably imagine the majority of features they have are similar, but there are a couple of beneficial added features that Zodiac have given the MX8. Unlike The MX6 the MX8 comes with 12 “1” metre sections, allowing for cleaning of slightly larger pools.

X-Drive Navigation

The MX8 uses the same X-Drive Navigation system as the MX6 to carefully navigate it’s way around your pool, but with one added feature. The MX8 has two directional gears on the bottom of it allowing it to reverse if it runs into any trouble whereas the MX6 operates on only one gear allowing it to pivot but not reverse.

zodiac mx6 vs mx8 our verdict

For us, the MX8 is the better pool cleaner, though they both perform excellently when it comes to the removal of dirt and debris and both have a top of the line energy efficient design, there were a few factors that really made the MX8 stand out.

We couldn’t go pass the Zodiac MX8’s Dual Cyclonic Suction system giving it a wider cleaning path, and faster more aggressive clean which we feel is a highly beneficial feature. We also loved the fact that it came with an extra ‘”2″ metres of hose and extra directional gear. With These features taken into consideration we feel like they definitely make up for the extra price tag.
